System Upgrade - Tocuh points

Thread needs solution

This week I shall be upgrading my desktop PC. I've planned it in phases. I would like advise if this is feasible or if an alternate approach should be used:

Phase 1: Swap current SSD OS Drive (128G) to WD Velociraptor 10K 500GB. This size drive is required for new software products acquired. As part of this phase, I plan to:

1) Install new drive upon arrival (tomorrow or Friday 7/5).
2) Boot from Acronis recovery disk and restore OS drive backup to new drive.
3) Reboot to ensure that all functions remain w/o error.

Phase 2: Upon successful completion of Phase 1; upgrade my current motherboard to a environmentally reliable platform. This was my goal all along. The upgrade will include:

1) New MOBO.
2) New CPU.
3) New memory.

Phase 3: Upon successful completion of phase 2; install TPM module on new mobo. This shall provide improved security through encryption and other techniques. At first it shall remain dormant until I am satisfied there are no negative impacts to my system.

Phase 4: Upon successful completion of Phase 3; implement OS and system encryption at appropriate levels.

Phase 5: Upon successful completion of Phase 4; Scrub, using DoD level erase functions, all OS related drives and re-task my current OS related drives to new purpose.

If this approach is out of alignment with the ability of Acronis True Image 2013, please let me know.

Thank you in advance for any assistance that can be provided.
