Task from old version is running but where is it and how do I stop it?

Thread needs solution

Hi,
I have ATI 2010 on trial, migrating from ATI 10. Seems ok but I've just twigged that an old (from ATI 10) scheduled task is still running every day and failing. It doesn't show anywhere in tasks. Any ideas on how I find it and stop it? I guess uninstall / reinstall would be the ultimate solution.
Thanks, JH

Check your Windows Scheduled tasks (inside Control Panel) and see if you might have an old task there.

I am having the same problem. I have upgrade to v10 and it is running my old tasks from v9. I need to get rid of this. There is nothing in windows scheduler.

I found 4402: Scheduler unable to run the task with GUID ... / bad bad support

I have downloaded the schedule manager and deleted the offending tasks. Will let you know how it works after a day.

Hello all,

Eric and John, it seems that old tasks were not cleaned up correctly during the update. To fix the issue, you need to delete all tasks manually and then re-create required tasks from scratch.

Please do the following to remove the tasks:

- Download the Acronis Scheduler Manager;
- Start the Command Prompt from Start -> Programs -> Accessories menu;
- Run the following commands in the folder you saved the file to:

schedmgr get list
schedmgr task zap

This should delete all Acronis scheduled tasks on the PC.

You should manage your scheduled tasks from the scratch.

In XP Pro, at least, if you navigate to the Windows/tasks folder, click Advanced menu, check that show hidden tasks is checked.
