"There may not be enough disk space on system partition to boot..."
Before setting up a new hdd i did an entire drive backup using tih 2011. that was 2 days ago. having installed the new drive i create 3 partitions on it using winxp; the first 2 partitions are supposed to hold two separate winxp systems while the third will be the data partition. straight forward. both system partitions are having roughly double the size than they had on the ol drive.
after having created and formatted the first ("C:") part I used my tih2011 recovery cd to restore my original c: partition. but right after i started i received the above mentioned error message telling me that the target system partition would be too small. what's more; this first attempt obviously had destroyed the target partition or at least wiped it from the partition table; in subsequent attempts to restore c: from the image i couldn't even select the target.
so i had to re-prtition and re-format it using winxp. but with the next attempt the same story repeated.
i validated the image but tih tells me it's alright.
before the backup the original partition was something like 10GB in size; the newly formatted target partition now is sized 30GB, so the error is plain stupid.

too late, sorry: meanwhile I performed a new installation using Win7, then mounted the image and pulled all that I needed from it. sould you still be interested in an Acronis report please let me know; but be aware that the target partition now is in a different state than before.
One other question: you recommended using a WinPE bootable media. I never worked with WinPE, but from what I get reading your support document I would need to have the acronis plus pack in order to create WinPE media. correct?
best regards,
