TI 2009 let me down

Thread needs solution

I have Acronis TI 2009 Home. on Vista Ultimate Dell XPS 730 PC.
My system went haywire and would not load . I booted by Acronis F11 bootup. Acronis (Full) loaded but could not find any of my 3 Ti images on my second HDD. There was one image on one partition and two images on another partition.

That let down shocked me. I tried recovery etc but since nothing worked, I decided to install a new Windows 7 to replace Vista.
However, my confidence in TI has gone. Why did it not find and see my images?
Once I booted into Acronis and loaded it, should it not override all other issues and see my backups?
Your answer will help me decide what to do about backups for future.
Thank you

Hello Akram,

Thank you for your post. I will definitely assist you.

We have no reported issues with Acronis Startup Recovery Manager not detecting backup files. Since it detected the hard drive I believe there are no issues with hardware detection.

Acronis Startup Recovery Manager works on Linux, similar to our bootable media, it displays drive letters differently then in Windows.

We will need to investigate this further in order to understand what went wrong. We will need screenshots of the backups in Windows and photos of the hard drive in Acronis Startup Recovery Manager together with this report.

If there is anything else I can do, please let me know.

Thank you.

Akram,
When you open TIH 2009 from either within Windows or when booted from the TI Rescue CD, you can open the Recovery module and use the Browse option to browse to any drive on your computer. Using the browse option, you can select any backup file from any folder.

TIH may not display a backup file if the backup file was created by a newer version than the TIH version currently in use.

Also, inside the browse option, sometimes, it is necessary to user the horizontal scroll bar to see the right margin. The storage folder should be selected/displayed in the left pane and the actual backup file will be listed in the right pane.
