TI 2010 Online backup task terminates and restarts every 20 seconds

Thread needs solution

The problem I'm seeing is the online backup tasks run for awhile (hours) then decide to terminate themselves then get into a terminate a restart loop every 20 seconds.

TI 2010 build #7046

The log shows this:
1 Information 9/8/2010 9:05:47 AM Operation Online Backup started.
2 Information 9/8/2010 9:06:02 AM Analyzing partition '0-0'...
3 Information 9/8/2010 9:06:02 AM Analyzing partition '1-1'...
4 Information 9/8/2010 9:06:02 AM Analyzing partition 'C:'...
5 Information 9/8/2010 9:06:04 AM Analyzing partition '0-0'...
6 Information 9/8/2010 9:06:04 AM Analyzing partition '2-1'...

12 Warning 9/8/2010 9:06:07 AM Operation has been stopped.
13 Warning 9/8/2010 9:06:08 AM Terminated by user.

I get one of these every 20 seconds until I either reboot or kill the scheduler process.

I've been trying now for about a week to get a complete only backup of all my docs and pictures. It runs for a few hours uploads a few gig then goes it this restart loop.

Hello Greg!

Thank you for finding time to report about the issue! I understand your concern and will be glad to help you!

Due to the lack of sufficient diagnostic information it's hard to say for sure what caused the issue, so this situation requires investigation. But before we proceed with it, I'd advise you to update the scheduler:

  1. Download Acronis Scheduler Manager. Open command prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd); run schedmgr.exe and issue the following command:
    task zap
This will erase all traces of the tasks.
  2. Update Scheduler as mentioned in this article
  3. Reboot the machine
  4. Recreate the tasks

Should the issue persist, please gather Acronis Info from the problem machinie and please kindly contact support directly with the information attached. Keep in mind that should there be any procrastination with the reply, you can always specify us the case number. We will do our best to speed up the process.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!
