TI 2012 won't install on 64bit Win64Ultimate

Thread needs solution

TI Home 2012 will NOT install on my Win7Ultimate 64bit system. Executing the install file immediately gets me the following message:

" - ATIH2012_6131_en-US.exe is not a valid Win32 appllication"

Uninstalling the TI 2011 instal I want to upgrade first does not help either.

Kindly assist.Thanks in Advance.

It sounds like you installer is corrupted. Try downloading it again.

Also, it's advisable to unistall prior version if have one, then run the cleaner

This will clean out the prior isntall so you have a clean slate for ati to install.

Also, it doesn't hurt to use msconfig for unisntall and installs so other progs dont interfere with install.

Or at least turn off your security software during install so that it doesn't block the installation of the drivers. However, the message your getting does suggest a corrupted installer file.

Scott, many thanks for the assist.
Noticed a more recent installer (#6154) available - downloaded same and this ran flawlessly under same conditions #6131 could not. Likely #6131 was somehow flawed cause I had already downloaded (at least 3 times) before and already uninstalled TI2011 but still no joy.

I'm good now. Once again thanks for jumping in.

I'd stick with that build now that you have it working. Make a full disk backup becfore trying to load a next build, if there is one.
