TI 2014 - PAE error on XP computer (cloning a new SS drive)
Hi...
I have the full registered version of Acronis True Image 2014 software. I installed the software on a old XP laptop of mine. The install went fine. I logged in after I installed the software. That went fine.
I have a new solid state hard drive, formatted NTFS, and it is in a little box plugged in as a USB hard drive.
I launch the cloning software. I do automatic. It sees my new drive and pre selects it and I select it as my new destination drive. Every thing seem fine. Then it says it needed to re boot to clone the drive and so I say OK and the computer reboots.
Then I get text on the screen that says my CPU is not "PAE" so it can not continue.
I down loaded the image and used nero to burn the image to a disk, but maybe I did it wrong because the computer will not boot to it. But the computer is configured to boot to a CD/DVD drive first, before the hard drive.
Can I fix this or do I need to buy other software. Am I doing something wrong? Will making a disk image work? and if so, how do I do that?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
jack
