TI Home 10 4942: Boot Disk Utility won't read tib files on USB drives
Have backed up and successfully restored images of my HP Pavilion a1350n desktop computer in the past. Used the boot disk I created, accessing the archive .tib files stored on a usb hard drive. Just tried to do the same thing, but although the Acronis boot disk utility sees the files on the usb drive, when I select a file and specify either a restore or just an archive validation, nothing happens and the program seems to hang. I can cancel out, but it takes more than 5 minutes for the cancel selection to take effect and give me access to the menu again. I was able to access and validate the archive files from TI running under Windows on another computer with no problem. Any ideas?

Thanks Dmitry. I haven't tried the F11 mod yet, but I've gone to the Registered Products page and don't see any reference to a downloadable ISO image, which I'd like to try. Can you give me a specific link or instructions how to find the image?

Hi Dmitry. I tried the F11 mod. I got several warnings about IRQ's and one that said to check the BIOS. I have no idea why. Anyway, when the program loaded, no USB devices were visible. I ended up copying the .tib files to another computer on my network and restoring the system over the network. I'd still like to know why the boot disk doesn't allow the USB drives to be read other than glacially slowly. Thanks, Mike.

Hello Michael,
It happened due to configuration of our CD plus your hardware configuration. Sometimes our program can work with USB 1.0 only, that's why we receive such slow speed.
Have you tried to use CD made from ISO image? It helps in most cases.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.
