TI Home 2010 - Rescue Media hangs on HP Pavilion dv5 notebook
True Image Home 2010, Build 5026
Windows Vista Home Premium, SP2, Build 6002 (X64)
HP Pavilion dv5, AMD Turion X2 (ZM-80), 4GB RAM, AHCI 1.0 SATA Controller, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 Video Controller
Have 'Generated System Report' and can provide report when requested.
Issue: Installed TI Home 2010 and created Rescue Media via Tools and Utilities. Booted system to rescue media and selected TI Home Full Version option. After a short period of time, the screen goes black, and the CD/DVD stops. System hangs at this point. Have also created an .iso image and burned another CD on a seperate systerm with same results. Attempted to boot from a created BartPE/PeToUSB key with no success (get a RAM disk error after selecting the Full Version option from menu. )
Understand that Acronis support can provide a Rescue Media .iso image that has the necessary Linux drivers to support my hardware configuration. What is necessary on my part to make this happen?
Thanks
Chris

Thanks Dmitry. I did review the release notes for 5055, but did not see anything that would have indicated that my problem was fixed. I did try the 5055 iso that you sent me and it did correct my problem.
I did get it to work with the previous version that I was trying, but had to use the 'quiet' switch in order to do so.
Thanks for your help.

I have the same problem on a new HP Pavillon elite. System hangs in the Start Menue Acronis recovery from CD.
Same result with the Test Version Acronis True Image Home 2010 and also with a registered Version of True Image 11.
Greetings

Hello all,
Please accept our profound apologies for the inconvenience and for the delay with the response.
Chris, I'm really glad that you've managed to fix the issue.
Herbert, I'll do my best to help you. The thing is that most probably the standard bootable media can't recognize some of the hardware installed. In this case we've created a special bootable media, that is based on an alternate bootloader and has a different hardware drivers implemented. I've sent you a Private Message with a download link to that media.
Please let me know if the issue still persists or if you have any additional questions.
Thank you.

I have TI Home 11, build 7046. I have created a bootable rescue media on a Dell Dimension E520. The CD burns without problem. However, the CD will not boot the computer into the recovery mode. The CD is read, I see the message "Starting Acronis Loader" but the computer hangs. I have tried the CD on both of the two CD drives on the computer. The same results on both. I see the message that it is loading but then the screen and computer hang. I then took the CD to another Dell Studio compter. On the Studio compter, the CD loaded properly.
I see in your response that you can provide "a special bootable media, that is based on an alternate bootloader and has a different hardware drivers implemented". Would you be able to send that to me? Thank you.
PS - I had previously built a bootable resue media on this computer but never tested it after I loaded the Win 7 operating system.

Crag,
Build 7046 is TI Home version 2010--not TI Home 11.
Return to your registration page and download the available iso file listed under bootable media. This has alternate drivers and may solve your problem. You can create a Rescue/Recovery CD from the download by burning the file as an image onto the Cd.

I did download the bootable media copy and burned it to a CD. Unfortunately, it made just a little difference. Now, instead of the system hanging at "Starting Acronis Loader", I now get the next message saying "Starting Acronis rescue environment". The system then hangs at that point. Any additional suggestions or help? Thank you.
