Ti MounterMonitor.exe - Entry Point Not Found

Thread needs solution

Having just upgraded from 2009 to 2010, when machine boots, I now always get a Windows error that reads as per the Title of this posting. (See attached screenshot.)  Then I get a notice that Backp Archive Explorer has stopped working.

I've run the Repair several times to no avail.

So far, does not appear that this interferes with making Backups, but it is annoying. How do I fix it?

So far no useful response from Acronis.  See my earlier post on this error.  Have you checked to see if inbound network connections still work?  I get this same error, and inbound network connections fail.  I've had to remove TI2010 as a result.  :-(

My inbound connections seem OK.

I did try searching for that fox.dll and found only one, in the Acronis folder, so copied it to the Common folder as suggested in your thread on this problem.  It did not fix the problem.

Of interest, even though at startup it indicates the Archive explorer function can't start, I am able to open an image file, navigate through it, and restore it.  So for me, the problem is just the annoying startup error messages, unless there's some other functionality I'm not aware of that's still impaired.

I even tried reinstalling with all antivirus etc. software turned off. Did not fix it.

I'm running Vista Ultimate 32 bit.

PROBLEM RESOLVED!

I contacted Acronis Tech support. They asked if I had installed 2010 on top of 2009.  I had; didn't see any advice to the contrary.

So they told me to uninstall with the Windows Uninstaller, and provided a link to the Acronis Cleanup Utility to run afterward (see http://kb.acronis.com/content/1727).

I had considerable difficulty achieving a full removal, as a couple of things were stuck in the registry, which required me to do some registry cleaning with my JV16 Power Tools, then run the Acronis Cleanup Utility a couple of times.  Until everything was truly cleaned out, attempts to reinstall would go partway through, then back out and fail. After several tries, finally got it installed fresh and all is well.  No more error messages.

Whew!

Thanks for taking the time to post this, Jim!  It fixed my problem as well!

I tried the fixes listed above, and it worked. No more such errors.

Just one small problem, Trueimage then failed, repeatedly to create a backup. The so called 'log file' for this event was utterly useless.

I've solved my problem by completely removing this update 'with extreme prejudice', and restoring an earlier version which is working OK. For now. This has completely shattered by confidence in the Trueimage product as a whole. I very much doubt that I shall waste any more mony on future 'improvements' and updates., and Ive been using acronis trueimage for many, many years without problems.

The application is now seriously flawed.

Anyone got a solution for this problem? After ATI 2010 upgrade over ATI 2009 the shared folder with data on the server office can not be accessed by the workstations. Uninstall using Windows Uninstall brings back file sharing. Strangely, re-install of ATI 2009 (the latest build from Acronis web site) causes the same problem. Now the server in the office is without a backup. I am buying Ghost 15 Tomorrow. How is testing done by Acronis - this is a major, major bug!

Hello Grisha,

Let me resolve the issue with the network connections.

The problem is that Microsoft Lanman Server has a fixed limit on the quantity of filters it supports. Since Acronis product installs some filters to work, the total number of filters can exceed the server's limit. The same problem may occur after installation of an Antivirus product and is described in the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 177078.

Please refer to the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 177078 for a workaround (also applies to Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008).

If you create the IRPStackSize value as described in Step 4 in the Microft article, the default value will be 15. It is recommended that you increase the value by 3. Then reboot and see if it works. If it does not, increase the value by 3 again (to 21, for example) and reboot again. If you get to 50 and it still does not work, the issue is most likely not caused by the IRPStackSize value.

If the above workaround doesn't help you, please gather AcronisInfo and contact Acronis Customer Central with the collected information.

Thank you.
