TIH2011 and SSD
I have Windows 7 /x64.
I have an SSD as my "C" drive and a regular HD as my "D" drive.
When I run the backup program I backup to "D" from "C".
I use the disk option - not the partition option.
It takes under 10 minutes.
When I restore - from the bootable media it takes hours.
When I restore from the desktop it takes hours.
I have verified that my SSD is properly aligned.
When I had two HD drives the time to restore was not an issue.
I have tried everything I have read in the forum.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

I check the backup option for disc 1. I assume that backs up the disc. I don't checck the partition option when I back up.
I restore from the bootable media. I don't know what condition would make my restore switch to a sector by sector restore.

It sounds like you are backing up using Windows but are using the bootable media for restore. If so, my guess is the bootable media which is Linux is lacking a good driver for your hardware.
Even if you start the restore in Windows and are restoring the active partition, after collecting the restore information TI will reboot the computer and load the Linux recovery environment from HD.

Stephen,
Yep! You are doing it the right way.
If you have registered your software on Acronis.com, go there and download the bootable media ISO. Burn it on a CD and try with this version.
