TIH2011 - Windows7 does not go into Sleep/Hibernate
Windows 7 32bit
True Image Home 2011 Build 5519
----------------------------------------------
Hi,
My laptop is not able to enter sleep/hibernate modus after I have installed TIH 2011. Without TIH it works perfectly.
How can I solve it?
Thanks,
Christian
By the way: TIH is able to wake up the computer for a backup job after I entered the hinbernation mode manually.

The answer is - It doesn't. This is one of the main reasons I'll be leaving Acronis software (lack of a NonStopBackup patch for TI 2010 and generally unhelpful corporate support thru this forum) (Grover, I DON'T mean you, & I know it's not the formal way to register a ticket), but C'MON - I'm tired of reading all the sincere apologies from Yana, Oleg, Boris & Natasha, while little ever gets done except to roll out a new (premature) yearly release, promising to fix last year's mistakes bugs features.
The level of abject humility & apologizing that goes on from the Acronis staff in this forum is almost comical - "we apologize that your previous posting seems to have been overlooked, and I will personally take charge of this problem & have referred it to our coding and upper management staff for further analysis, but cannot give you a prediction as to when this unfortunate screwup conflict with your obviously nontypical setup will be resolved".
It seems from reading this forum that TI is good at making whole-disk complete images on a manual basis, and perhaps differential or incremental backups, with the aid of third-party scheduling programs (I suspect there are more time & people actively working on Chain2Gen than on TI2011 or, certainly, on fixing NSB & scheduling in 2010). However, the program STILL doesn't seem to clean up after itself to keep the storage from filling up, nor does the scheduler work properly (by using Win& 64-bit scheduler, I can automate a backup, but not verify & notify, and certainly not sleep/hibernate afterwards). I fail to see what the incremental value of TI is over several other free/less expensive programs, given the crippling of these functions.
P.S.: I believe you already have the latest version.

@GroverH:
Thanks for your answer but "Build 5519" is the latest version I can download?!
Thanks,
Christian

Christian,
Wow, is my face red. I must have been asleep at the keyboard.
My apologies for wasting your time.

Hi,
I have tried to solve the problem by deinstalling the program. I used the build-in routine and additionally the software which is offered by acronis. The result is that my laptop is still not able to enter suspend/hibernate modus. Argh.
Any ideas how to solve it? Before I installed TIH2011 it was definitely possible to use suspend/hibernate. No additional software have been installed afterwards.
Thanks,
Christian

acronis seems to have many problems with power managament modes on its utilities... (eg. http://forum.acronis.com/forum/13016)
