Time Capsule and True Image 2010
Hello,
I have an authentication problem with mynetwork disk Apple Time Capsule. In fact I've connected one external USB disk to the Time Capsule, and thanks to the Airport for windows software I now have 2 network disks X:\ and Y:\. I also cans reach them via the Time Capsule IP. The problem I encounter is True Image needs an Authentication to save on network disks. But to reach my disks I do not need any Authentication under windows (XP SP3), as the Airport software is already authenticated.
When I choose to save on my network disks (from the disk letter, or the IP) Acronis say it can't authenticate (http://kb.acronis.com/content/5138) And when I open the Authentications Settings here what happens :
- No user name, No password, Use NT authentication : Test connected successfully
- No user name, No password, No use NT authentication : Test connected successfully
- No user name, Time Capsule Password, Use NT authentication : Test connected successfully
Time capsule only works with a password, no username. But whatever the choice I made, with connection successfull, when I close the windows, True Image says that I haven't given any authentication settings. Even when I gave the Time Capsule password...
Unfortunately, when I do not enter any authentication (with or without use of NT authentication) it does'nt remind the settings and try to connect with my windows user/password session values, that is not I want it to do !
So if someone can help me, thanks in advance.
PS : I can read, write, delete anything I want from windows on these network disks...

Hello alexander, I just want to tell you that the TimeCapsule from apple computer does have a user name and a password.
That is the only way you can access it in windows XP or Server 2003.
