Trashed partition table
My computer is running Windows 7. I have True Image Home 2010 installed. I bought the True Image Home 2011 upgrade and went to install it yesterday. I left 2010 alone and just launched the install for 2011. It seemed to take a very long time to install, but finally it said it was complete. At that point I had to reboot.
When the computer rebooted I got the no boot ldr found....I tried the normal Windows 7 boot recovery steps and nothing worked. I booted a Linux disk to look at the partition and they were gone. The entire partition table had been trashed by the True Image Home install.
I created a new partition and then recovered my computer with one of my backups (Hllelujah, it worked).
My question is: How do I perform the 2011 upgrade without trashing my computer again?
