True Image 2009 Error

Thread needs solution

I have received this error twice during full back-up.
Failed to open the file {0} for read {1}.
Operation copleted with errors.

Any ideas on what this means and how do I fix it?

I don't receive any errors during the incremental operation.

No worries, I will assist you with this situation.

According to the symptoms you described, the situation is caused by the fact that product us not able to access some file to include it to the backup. Generally, this should not occur for the partition \ hard drive backup, because it uses snapshot technology for backup data capturing. So most probably this error occurs when you're performing My Data backup.

To give you the exact solutions, lets make sure that we got this issue correctly. Could you please clarify the following?

1. The build number of the product, which you can find in the Help -> About dialog (it should be a 3 or 4 digit number)?

2. Which backup are you trying to perform? Is it My Data or the entire partition \ drive backup?

3. What is the destination location for this backup?

4. Could you please send us the log with the error?

- Start Acronis True Image Home;
- Select Show log;
- Choose the log entry which contains errors;
- Click on the diskette icon, choose the location (folder) and save there;
- Attach the log file to your answer in this thread.
