True Image 2010 on loading, changes the screen resolution to 640x480..... SOLUTION!

Thread needs solution

This seems to be a solution for a problem that no one except me has! But I'll past it on anyway it may help someone. My True Image 2010 new download when run in Windows 7 changed the screen resolution to 640x480 and caused all sorts of problems with crashing explorer if you tried to change the resolution back while it was running. I tried changing the compatibilty settings to no avail so instead of running the TrueImagelauncher.exe I went inside the programs folder to the acronis folder and found Trueimage.exe (which the launcher runs) and found that in the properties/compatibility tab the "start with resolution 640x480" box was ticked, so unticked it and it now all works. This was in the latest download of 2010 from acronis website done today and installed clean and no one had changed it.

Hello Terence,

Thank you for taking time to contact us and for providing solution for the issue. I will add your comment with resolution to our customer listening system.

If you have any questions concerning our software, please feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience with the details and we will do our best to help you as soon as possible.

If you are not using the latest build 6053 you may want to update to it.  I am not certain if the issue is addressed in the new build at this point, however it is generally a good idea to be up to date. You can download it from your account under Registered Products.

Thank You.
