True Image 2010 will not run on Windows 7 Professional
I bought, downloaded and installed full version 30 minutes ago. Have tried to execute 3 times. Each time, I get the splash screen, then the message "Acronis True Image has stopped working." Here is the event information. Can anyone help? Should I run in a compatibility mode?

Try r-clicking on the shortcut and choose Run As Admin. even if your log on status is Admin.

You shouldn't need the compatibility mode, v5055 runs on my laptop with W7:7600 Professional, OK.
I suggest uninstalling, disabling any firewall/AV and other installed background programs such as disk defragmenters etc, then re-install, reboot, check to see if problem still exists, then re-enable one by one (in other words check TI after each enabling) the stopped programs.

Bodgy - I shut off wi-fi access, disabled Zone Alarm Extreme and re-installed and re-booted. So far, so good, Thanks.
