True Image 2011 Backup Names Do Not Allow Spaces?

Thread needs solution

Noticed something about the backups that True Image 11 makes. The backup image file names apparently can't have spaces in them.

I named a backup Temporary 01 0 with the ending zero there so the added number by True Image will be more in account with the way I make backups. But, I noticed, instead of Temporary 01 01.tib being the file name, the file name is actually
Temporary_01_01.tib

I just wanted to point it out if this shouldn't be the case. If it should be the case and True Image doesn't write out spaces in its file names, I can live with that. :)

Thanks!

Is this TI 11 or TI 2011?

If TI 11 which build and on what OS?

I'm sorry. I meant True Image 2011. Not True Image 11. I forgot there was already an app called TI 11.

It's under Windows 7.

On File naming I have a suggestion that will I hope prove the best way to name files as it also removes the need for ATIH to add a number

When you select the location for the backup to be stored make the file name:

@task@_@date@_@time@

then when you return to the previous screen you will see "__" as the task name while you cannot use spaces you can now use a name to identify which backup this is e.g. "System". The file name will then look like:

System_2010-08-26_1134.tib

and each new backup will be unique because of the time element of the name so ATIH will not add additional numbers.

This has the added advantage that you can see when using the CD recovery option exactly when each backup was done.
