True Image 2013 Build 6514 - problem with consolidate backup

Thread needs solution

I have setup a backup with differential backups - new backup after 6 incrementals.

I manually deleted some of the backups off of my NAS server. I removed the backup definition from the list re-created it and I have also deleted the backup definition leaving the backup files out there. I then browse for a backup - add it to the list - but it indicates that I have 21 versions when I should only have 7 versions - intial backup with 6 differentials in the specific folder that I am backing up to.

When I try to use the Consolidate Versions. It is listing backups that I had deleted. This is causing my backup with verify to always fail. The backup and verify work fine - it is during the consolidation.

I am not sure where to look - to remove the referances to all of the older backups thatn I manually deleted and want to leave the one I am currently doing.

Any help pointing me to the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Remove the backup from the list in ATI. Close ATI.
Search for database.xml file. YOu should find it in the programdata folder, under Acronis...
Rename it database.OLD
Restart ATI and try to add the files backup.

Unless you delete the task afterwards, never delete, rename, move a TIB file manually.

Thank you very much. This did the trick - and always appreciate the fact that you reeponded to me.

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your solution. I have been looking for a solution for some time now. I had a number of backups failing due to consolidation errors. I realized they were happening because I could not figure out how to clean up archives automatically. I was therefore deleting archives manually and the database could not find them. Your solution worked with a nimor change. In ATO 2013 I modified the file called archives.xml under the C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Database directory.
