True Image 2013 Not Backing Up:

For a couple of weeks True Image worked fine. Now, I keep getting the message "The last backup has failed." I think this may be because I uninstalled WD Smartware (because I couldn't just turn it off) and now the drive (my book essential) keeps locking up -- even if I unlock it. How can I get True Image working again?
