True Image 2015 for Mac doesn't recognize Apple's Time Capsule

Thread needs solution

Apple's Time Capsule is not recognized by True Image 2015 as a backup target. When I try to set up a new backup only Aconis Cloud and local USB drives are shown in the selection dialog. That's very disapointing because the Acronis Web site says that Time Capsule is supported. Connecting the Time capsule data partition as a network drive is no option, because the disconnected Time Capsule partition will not be found ath the next time. :-(

I have the same problem with True Image 2016. Neither my WLAN time capsule nor my apple icloud drive is recognized as a BackUp disk. I contacted already Acronis but I did not receive an answere up to now.

Hello all,

Thank you for your postings! Unfortunately iCloud is not supported as a backup destination in Acronis True Image.

To store backups on the Time Capsule, please create an afp-share or a smb-share on the Time capsule.

To be able to restore your system from the bootable media you need to mount the share first:

  1. Navigate to Network -> Connect to.
  2. Enter the path to the share like afp://capsulename/share
  3. Connect to the Time capsule and restore your backup.

Thank you,
