True Image and Intel RST

Thread needs solution

Hi

I am using latest Acronis True Image 2013 (build 6514).

I have just tried to back up my system drive. I have another drive accelerated by Intel RST (2TB WD HDD accelerated by 60GB Intel SSD 520 series, full UEFI system, GPT everywhere). The system drive (which is also an SSD) gets backed up fine but Acronis True Image complains about how it cannot read sectors on my accelerated drive. It displays a negative sector number.

I have disabled acceleration for now, but would like for it to be fixed in the future. Attached is the system report generated by System Report tool.

Tried with latest Intel RST driver and version 11.2, same thing.

Anatoly,

Is this in Windows or from the recovery CD?

Just to double check, have you run chkdsk /r on the Intel SSD?

Hi

yes, it was from Windows. I triple checked every sector, ran chkdisk and whatnot (the SSD itself is new). I now use it as an external HDD and it works perfectly (no realloc counters were incremented according to SMART) so the drive itself isn't at fault here.
