True Image Home 11 shows Win7 OS drive as unsupported
I am attempting to clone from one Western Digital 1tB drive to an identical drive. The source drive came with my HP desktop with Win7 installed, the second drive I installed and partitioned (NTFS) with T I Home 11.
When I try to clone, TI Home 11 only sees the drive that I partitioned when it asks for the source drive.
Using "Add a New Disk" I can see both drives listed. The one I partitioned shows (correctly) one primary partition in yellow. When I select my original drive, two partitions are shown in gray, which means "unsupported"
How do I get TI Home 11 to recognize my original drive so I can clone it (bootable) to my new drive?

When I go to the ABOUT screen I get this -
Acronis® True Image Home® version 11.0 (build 8,101)

ATI 11 is seven years old. That's a long time for a Windows application. It does not support Windows 7. I recommend that you buy a newer version.

I discovered that both Western Digital and Seagate support offer a version of Acronis True Image for free - that looks like the way to go.

Yes, various drive OEMs have special versions of ATI. They are usually a reduced feature set and based on an older version than the latest ATI. If it works for you, great. Support for those versions is found from the OEMs and, in some cases, in on-line forums of that OEM (such as for WD).

Thanks for your help. I discovered something called EaseUS Todo Backup Free that does very little but it does clone and that did the trick. Joey, I will check out that link for $17.99 as Acronis does lots of good stuff and that's a deal.
