True Image Home 2010 Error Message
I have upgraded to Win 7 and have used True image Home 2009 to successfully make Backups.
I have now installed True image Home 2010. When attempting to Backup everything is normal up to the last step and pressing "Proceed. I then get an error message reading:
"Failed to create the scheduled Task. Error #1722. The RPC Server is unavailable (0xFF0)"

Thanks for the reply bodgy.
The fix just turned out to be simple. I had removed 2009 prior to installing 2010 when I had the problem.
I just uninstalled 2010 and reinstalled it and the problem is solved.
Thanks again.

I have just upgraded from TI 11 Home to True Image 2010 Home on my Windows 7 Ultimate partition and want to try booting a .vhd windows format image (converted from .tib).
In the TI 2010 User Guide online it says to select the Acronis Boot Sequence Manager from the Tools & Utilities Main Menu, but I can't find the Boot Sequence Manager listed anywhere!
I wonder if anyone else has this problem?
Also has anyone had success restoring a backup to different PC hardware using the recently available Plus Pack option?

With build 5055, BSM is definitely available on the Tools and Utilities menu, it is the last item under the heading Protection Tools (5th item down).
I don't know if it has been moved or forgotten in build 6029. EDITED build number to correct one.
If you have build 5055, and not the menu entry, I suggest re-installing TI.

Thanks Colin I appreciate your prompt response.
I have build 6029 and definitely no BSM. There are only 4 items under Protection Tools so maybe it is what you get with Build 6029..

Hi guys,
I have installed build 5055 and ther is definetly no BSM under Tools and Utilities menu, last item under the heading Protection Tools (5th item down). Even not after re-installing TI neither under Windows7 Ultimate nor Windows XP SP3.
What now?

Well this is all very confusing, as I definitely have build 5055 installed and definitely have that menu item.
I've attached two png's - unfortunately I can't show the 'about' alongside the boot menu item, but rest assured they are from one and the same installation.
The only thing I can think of is that it is a leftover of an earlier version (5053/5054) which may be the reason, but I thought I gave registry a good clean out before installing 5055.
Are your versions the US English versions?

I have installed the German Version. I wonder if in fact the BSM menu is a leftover of an earlier version because this feature seems to be very helpful to make sure to have a bootable system backup. And not to forget this topic is part of the user manual, hmmm ...

Yesterday I sent a request to Acronis customer support. Now I wait what they say.

I downloaded and installed version 5055 too and no BSM on Windows 7 Ultimate. I thought it might be because I upgraded to Ultimate from Win7 Pro and TI does not recognise the new system. Anyway I look forward to what Acronis have to say on this matter..

Good to know I am not alone in this issue .-)
FYI I did not update my Windows but installed Ultimate from the scratch.
I have no answer so far from Acronis.

Hello all,
No worries, I will assist you with the situations reported here.
First of all, regarding RPC server: it's related to scheduler services, which were stopped or changed somehow. This case be fixed by downloading Scheduler Update and running .bat file from it. The detailed information is available here. Actually, Colin has already pointed to the article, thank you! I just wanted to confirm.
Regarding Boot Sequence Manager - I have checked in my own Windows 7 + 6029 - it was there. Could you please post a shot where you cannot see it under Protection Tools?
Could you please make screenshot with the error and send it to us?
- Get to the window which you want to make a screen shot of;
- Hit the (Alt+)PrintScreen button on your keyboard;
- Run Paint usually available in Start\Programs\Accessories or another graphics application;
- Choose Paste command in Edit menu;
- Save the result picture in JPEG format being preferable.
Also, please provide us with the case ID as soon as you receive it, so we can speed up the process.
Thank you for your cooperation! Please feel free to ask any additional questions concerning Acronis.
