True Image Home 2011: Automatic Backup Archive, Tib-File not findable on external HDD storage drive

Thread needs solution

Dear colleagues!

I contacted several times the Acronis support, Popov did his very best but could not help.

My problem issue:
- I installed a automatic scheduler which saves data under Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Edition, at a certain time.
- if external hard disc drive is not available, it starts later, and the green circle with red cross appears as the only sign when that HDD is not plugged in per USB (2.0)
- Its a HP Notebook.

Well, it seems as if I can restore the data by the software, I mean True Image Home 2011. But when trying to find it, the storage directory is root, there's no TIB-Archive findable on the external HDD drive. I searched by entering "hp*.tib" or *.tib*, but there were only other TIB-files on that drive.

The manual backup which is done some times, too, is stored at "meine Backups" or "my backups", I can find it. With the current backup time and date, from the 30th of April, 2011.

Where's the automatic file, should be called "hp-laeppi.TIB" or something like that seems not to exist. Restarting System doesn't help. Acronis support arguments for that problem - apparently caused by an Acronis software bug - should be a support ticket bought, I don't think so, it's a pity for Acronis by argueing that way.

Anyone can help me?

thanks and best wishes,
Thilo

Have you checked your taks setup to be sure of the location being written to?

Have you looked at the log to see if he backups are being successfully made?
Is the task set to overwrite existing backup?
