True Image Home 2011 Recovery

Thread needs solution

My Home 2011 recovery disk will not see my UEFI GPT drive or my USB 3 external drive attached to the computer.

Is there an upgrade or newer version I can use to allow me to "see" these drives?

2012 and the upcoming 2013 support GPT disks and UEFI firmware based systems. The Plus Pack also supports dynamic disks and restore to different hardware (Universal Restore).

Thanks for the reply.

Just to be clear we are talking about the recovery disk boot environment and not running TI from Windows.

I thought I read in the forums someone was still having UEFI/GPT disk discovery problems with the 2012 recovery disk.

Perhaps it was the Linux boot vs the Windows PE boot?

As with any version of the Linux recovery disks, new hardware support is likely to take a while to be implemented.(Hence the use of WinPE recovery disks being popluar with advanced users) There are only handful of folks who have reported non-supported hardware with the 2012 Linux based recovery disks , and 2013 is supposed to have addressed those documented issues. Since you can download and try the 2012 product, you could create a recovery disk and check for compatibilty on your specific hardware.
