True Image Home V11.0 Create Disk Partition
Hi,
I want to create a new disk partition in preparation for Windows 7 upgrade. After studying the help I see that there is a option for creating a partition under "Disk Utilities" / "Adding New Hard Disk".
I have looked and looked and cannot find a selection to create a partition under Disk Utilities. My version of the software does not have this selection.
I must be missing something.
Help!
Thanks!!

As far as I can Ascertain from the help file, in ATI 11 you would need to let it erase existing partitions on the selected hard drive. Then then you can create new partitions on it. Of course that means that you would need to backup or image the existing partition onto some other available hard drive and then use that image to restore it onto one of the new partitions you created.

If you want to keep your old partitions and data, please select No, I do not want to delete partitions. In this case you won't be able to continue and the button Next button will be grayed out. Press Back to select another destination hard disk.
and
Creating New Partitions
In order to use the space on a hard disk, it must be partitioned. Partitioning is the process of dividing the hard disk's space into logical divisions. Each logical division may function as a separate disk with an assigned drive letter, its own file system, etc. Even if you do not intend to divide your hard disk into logical divisions it must be partitioned so that the operating system knows that it is intended to be left in one piece.
Note
• You can create partition(s) only if there is unallocated space on your disk.
To create a partition check the Create new partition in unallocated space box and click Next to continue. If you have just created a partition but there is still unallocated space for another partition, you can either check the Create new partition in unallocated space box, click Next and pass to the Free space selection window or uncheck the Create new partition in unallocated space box, click Next and pass to the Disk add summary window.
