TrueImage 2010 restored image fails to boot

Thread needs solution

I am using TrueImage 2010. I made an image of all partitions of a Dell Precision T1500 running Windows 7 Pro (32bit) to an external USB drive. I am now trying to restore that image to the very same computer. I select all partitions including the MBR. I also select "restore drive signature". The restore goes fine (validation passes). When booting up the computer with the restored image I get a blue screen stating "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage".

I ran the Windows 7 boot repair and after working for about 10 minutes I get a message the the repair failed.

Any idea what is wrong?

I forgot to mention, that I am using the boot CD to perform the restore

Hello Joseph,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your post. I will do my best to assist you with this issue.

Could you collect the following 2 reports from your unbootable machine so that I can take a closer look at this problem please?

I will need to study Acronis report 51 and Acronis system report which is collected using ATIH 2010 bootable media.
