TrueImage 2013 Nonstop Question

Thread needs solution

I configured and ran a nonstop backup of my system drive to an external USB drive. It worked fine, and completed with no problems.

However, at that point the "pause/play" buttons indicated that the backup was no longer running. I clicked "play" again, and it did a second nonstop backup -- much faster this time :) -- and now the pause/play buttons still show the backup as running.

Why did I have to start the nonstop backup twice to get it to run nonstop?

Also, will the nonstop backup start whenever I start Windows, or will I need to start the nonstop backup manually?

I'm hoping "nonstop" really means "nonstop", as in "turn it on and forget it until the backup drive starts getting full".

Mark,

Normally, you don't have to turn it on or off. It is supposed to be non-stop until the backup drive is full. Unfortunately, we see many users having issues with NSB. You can check the Windows Event Viewer to see whether the Acronis Non Stop Backup services has crashed or not, you can also check the Acronis True Image (ATI) log. Remember that NSB needs time to consolidate the slices it creates and that is done either during the night or when the computer is idle, so make sure you leave your computer idling.
