TrueImageMonitor Not Running

Thread needs solution

I've noticed that the little icon in the system tray has not been appearing when TIH 2010 is doing a backup.

Looking at msconfig, the entry is present and selected in the Startup list, but the file location is incorrect. The entry in the Startup list points to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome\TrueImageMonitor.exe

but the program is at:

D:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome\TrueImageMonitor.exe

What is the easiest way to change this?

Thanks.

I install most programs on my D: drive as my C: (boot) drive is an SSD with limited space.

It should show the location in msconfig. For example, it might be:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

You should be able to use the Registry Editor (regedit.exe), browse to the key, and update the data.

Duh (sound of hand slapping forehead). It was right there in front of me; one column over. Thanks for pointing it out.

Looking closely, I see that Acronis Scheduler Helper (in msconfig), is also pointing to the wrong drive. I'm not sure of all that that does, but I'm thinking I should probably change that too.

By the way, and in case any of the Acronis techs are reading, this was a fresh install of TIH 2010 after doing a complete uninstall using a clean boot configuration and also running the latest "clean-up" tool packaged in trueimagehomecleanup.zip -- this one, unlike the previous, does NOT require the windows installer cleanup to be present.

Oops, that was incorrect. It is pointing to the correct location; and it is running.
