Trying to restore an image

I made a fresh image Thursday since i was going to be testing some new software which i didnt like. Now when trying to recover back to that image i cant get anything to work. It says calculating time bit then just shuts down. From the home ati screen i hit the backup for which to recover button go through the steps by selecting the image and thats when it just sits there and nothing seems to happen. Is there anything i might be missing maybe some settings im not sure.
