Pierre, the most likely reason that your boot CD cannot see your SSD drive is that it is the standard Linux based rescue media and does not have the device drivers needed to see the SSD.

You will need to create the Windows PE Rescue Media which if you create it on the same system that the SSD is installed in and working, will include the device drivers needed for it.

If the standard WinPE Rescue Media still doesn't see your SSD drive, then you will need to follow the instructions in the following post: http://forum.acronis.com/forum/100770 which will guide you on how to add extra device drivers to the rescue media.

ok cause i create my media on my pc and we want to clone / image a pc that im building for our techsupport people so the media i have would not see my ssd but can see my other hdd 1 tb strange

Thanks

Pierre, if the SSD is in a different system to the one where ATIH 2015 is installed, then you will need to follow the instructions in the link I provided and add the device drivers for the SSD to the WinPE rescue media.  You should download the SSD device drivers from the manufacturer website unless you have them on a device CD that came with the drive.

Your boot CD can probably see your 1TB HDD drive because it is a standard SATA model.

Ok i will try that cause when i create the iso media i use the standrad one not win pe

Thanks

well on the samsung web site there is non driver for the evo 850 ssd

wondering how i will be able to clone it

Thanks

Pierre, if you build the WinPE media with the latest Windows ADK then there is a good chance that it will have the support needed for your Samsung EVO 850 SSD otherwise you will need to follow the steps given in the following post:

Hello Pierre, that is great news!

Hi Pierre, did you test the clone drive to make sure it also boots and has all 3 OS' on it?  I'm just curious becuase the documentation says tha multiboot drives are not supported:

Disk cloning utility

The Clone disk utility allows you to clone your hard disk drive by copying the partitions to another hard disk.

Please read before you start:

  • When you want to clone your system to a higher-capacity hard disk, we recommend that you install the target (new) drive where you plan to use it and the source drive in another location, e.g. in an external USB enclosure. This is especially important for laptops.

Warning! Your old and new hard drives must work in the same controller mode (for example, IDE or AHCI). Otherwise, your computer will not start from the new hard drive.

Warning! If you clone a disk with Windows to an external USB hard drive, you will not be able to boot from it. Windows does not support booting from external USB hard drives. Please clone to internal SSD or HDD instead.

  • The Clone disk utility does not support multiboot systems.
  • On program screens, damaged partitions are marked with a red circle and a white cross inside in the upper left corner. Before you start cloning, you should check such disks for errors and correct the errors using the appropriate operating system tools.
  • We strongly recommend that you create a backup of the entire original disk as a safety precaution. It could be your data saver if something goes wrong with your original hard disk during cloning. For information on how to create such a backup see Backing up partitions and disks. After creating the backup, make sure that you validate it.
