Unable to move my program files from TIB backup

Thread needs solution

Help me before I pull all my hair out :P

I can't access my files that Acronis supposedly backed up. When i try to move program files (C:\Program Files (x86)) from my old backed up drive, which is now a .tib file, nothing happens. I get a loading icon for about 30 seconds, then nothing happens, nothing gets moved, no messages/explanation or error. I really need to be able to access some of the files in this folder and Acronis won't let me move them for some reason. Sometimes it actually gives me an "Access is Denied" error message but with no further explanation.

Also I can't use the Recover feature either for some reason. I choose the tib file, select the destination drive which has plenty of space, and then "Recover now" button is still grayed out so I can't do anything.

Not sure what the solution is for you but try using a different method.

With TrueImage closed.
Open your Windows explorer and browse to the folder where you backups are stored.

Select the tib file which has your specifics by Right clicking on the file and then from the Right click menu, click on the Explore option. The Explore option will allow you to explore your backup. Browse inside your backup to the folder you wish to recover. Then use the normal Windows Drag & Drop or use the Copy and paste method. Either way, you can get copies of your backup onto into your desired folders.

Another method would be try the Mount option and also use the same Windows method mentioned above.
