Unable to restore

Thread needs solution

Having used True Image for many years, I find that it now occasionally behaves strangely. This seems to be since converting to Windows 8 and upgrading to TI 13. For example, although I perform incremental backups without difficulty, when I try to restore from the same screen no backup file is offered. If I browse from this screen and select the required file to be added to my list of available files (even though it is already listed there), it still doesn't recognise its existence and no restoration is possible.
Is it possible TI is corrupted and, if so, how do I download a new version?

If some kind person could help me with the above I would be very grateful. Is it likely to be a matter of uninstalling TI13 and reloading? Will I be able to download a free replacement from Acronis?

This link can help. It shows how to obtain your files from current or past versions.
Download two files. The main program file plus the Bootable Media file.

I would suggest you uninstall the current version, and run the cleanup utility (link below) and then do a new re-install of the most recent version.

Don't use the newly installed version to make a new recovery CD. Instead, use the downloaded Bootable media file and burn that to CD as the TI Recovery CD. This CD file is a newer file than the one offered via the installed program.

When needing to restore either a partition or disk, it is best done when booted from the TI Recovery CD.
Boot from the CD. Browse to the storage folder and restore that tib backup.
