Unable to restore a backup

I'm using the 2013 recovery disc to try and restore a backup onto a new drive, but running into a big problem.. it's not listing the backed up partition as an item to recover, just the MBR. I've tried putting the image in a few different places just in case (network share, a second drive, etc) but it only shows the MBR. The image is ok, as a test I started the recovery on another computer and that one shows the backed up partition.. but no matter what I've tried the machine I actually need to recover it to won't list it. It does show the full backup if I tell it to do a file recovery, but I need a full disk recovery.

Before I go and physically move drives from one system to another to do this.. is there something I'm missing?
