Unable to "Switch to File Mode"

Thread needs solution

When attempting to Configure the nonstop backup, it only allows me to select entire partitions.
The "Switch to file mode" text in the upper right corner appears to be text only, and does absolutely nothing.

The nonstop backup was working fine a few hours ago, until I wanted to remove the Express Card it was using for backup. There did not seem to be any way to shut down the backup process except to change the configuration by clearing all selected files (which is a real pain by the way). Only then was I allowed to "safely remove" the device.

Now when I want to start it up again, it won't let me configure anything.

OK. I had to open up the basic Acronis interface and completely DELETE the non-stop backup from the list of backups, losing whatever backups I might have had. Then I had to REFORMAT the solid state drive I was backing up to, because Acronis managed to remove the files without returning the disk blocks. Only then could I create a new Nonstop backup routine and define which files I wanted backed up.

This is an incredibly buggy program, and I am deeply disappointed in this oversold software.
I am also disappointed with the level of support.
