Universal Boot: "Creating Universal Boot task..." message never goes away and completes the procedure

Thread needs solution

Hello,

Any idea why this would occur? (see attachment) At the onset of Universal Boot, I see it grabbing the drivers from my flash drive (LED lighting up) and that is the end of the road. This message (see attachment) pops up and will NEVER stop. I literally left this running for 9 hours to no avail. No error message, just the screen seen in the attachment. The progress bar is moving the whole time and I am able to move the cursor, but that's as far as it goes. No way to get out of this other than physically rebooting my PC.

Thank you in advance,

supercell

I would think that based on your description and the screenshot the app is looking for a driver that it cannot find so it is essential stalled. It should error out in that case but seems it is not.

What change was made to your hardware that necessitated the use of Universal restore? I see in your screenshot references to disk drive controller drivers, if you replaced your motherboard you probably need the new boards chipset drivers as well.
