If you registered your serial number, you can "manually" download the latest installer and use that.

I was able to download the update and the error message didn't appear until I clicked on install. Frankly I don't know to which server it refers to. I don't have a server...just a computer.....and the Acronis server did what it was supposed to do. I only know I can't install it because of that error and the words are exactly what I have stated. Puzzler.

Charles,

Did you eventually download the update via your account or via the TI 2013 auto update?

TI 2012 cloned fine 'til I upddated to TI 2013, then reboot issue failed to restart and clone the PC hard drive. Here's what I got (see att'd photo)...

Thank you Colin for your reply. I think Eddy has a different problem but first to answer your question I have tried using both the notice I got from autoupdated upon clicking it and then I went directly to the Acronis site and downloaded the update and both give me the same response. Attached are the responses and upon clicking the "install" button on the second notice I got an error message with a reference to saving to the acronis trueimage site which I think I did successfully but I can't locate that now.

Charles,
Your seond notice appears to be a internet connection problem of Aconis having a access problem.

Visit your personal account again and download the update from there.
If you manage the download from your acct, you control where it is stored.
If it is an automatic update, it will probably be in temp folder which Acronis uses such as this xp link.
C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Local Settings\

@Charles,

The file you downloaded from your account, its' name is ATIH2013_6514_en-US.exe?

@Eddy,

Your problem really ought to be in a new thread, as it is not the same as the OPs one.

What build of 2013 are you using?

Did you start the clone from within Windows or from the recovery CD?

Is the drive one that contains the OS and if so, what is the OS?

Details about your system would be helpful, such as what drives are attached and how they are attached.

Did you reboot with both drives still attached?

Perhaps you could start a new thread. including the items I've asked about above.

Yes, that is the exact file name I downloaded and used to open the second file I sent you earlier. After I got the message in file #2 I went ahead and clicked on the insall button and got the following message. "Installation has failed. Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified log file location exists and that you can write to it." There was also hypertext saying "save error log to file" and I clicked on that and I think the log file was updated....but I can't be sure because I don't know what file the updated file was. The size of the file I downloaded was 266.684KB.

Charles,

I don't know what is causing your problem but I suggest, uninstalling 2013, download and run the 2013 cleaner, reboot, reinstall 2013.

Make sure your user\temp folder is as empty as Windows will allow.

To get to your temp folder, press the Win button + r, type in %temp% and the correct user temp folder will appear. The clenaer can be downloaded from here, note the instructions about what to do before rebooting.

If you happen to still be within your 30 days support period I would also raise a support ticket.

Thanks again, Colin. Regretfully I have had ATI2013 for quite a bit longer than 30 days and in view of the fact that my copy of ATI2013 build 5551 still works ok I think I will let a bird in the hand be better than two in the bush. The last time I used support it would have been terribly expensive had it not been for the 30 days rule. I'll just be jealouis of you guys with the up-to-date copies.
By the way I did clean out %temp% but it didn't help any. Thanks again.
