Update search does not work
I am using the trial version of ATIH 2012.
If I search for updates via menu I receive a error message that an error during update search has occured.
Since I am using a proxy server that is configured in Windows internet options I assume that ATIH 2012 ignores the internet settings of Windows and tries to connect directly to the internet.
I guess this could be problem for the new activation process, too.
Please check if I am right with my assumption.

Are you sure that ATIH 2012 needs FTP protocol for update search? This would be quite unusual. Furthermore FTP protocol is blocked in a lot of environments, especially in business environments.

I don't know if TIH uses FTP for updating (I doubt it) I was just stating these two ports are ones that TIH can use. There are two others, but I can't recall which ones they are other than the outgoing email port (25).

I have searched the ATIH 2012 user guide for ports now and I don't think that ATIH uses any of the ports 20, 21 or 25 for updating. The user guide says that ports 20 and 21 are used for backup on FTP-servers and that port 25 is used for e-mail notification. This makes sense because the ports 20 and 21 are normally used for FTP and port 25 is normally used for SMTP.
Therefore I think I am right with my assumption that ATIH 2012 does not use our proxy server because ATIH 2012 ignores the Windows internet settings.
