upgrade acronis true image home 2010

Thread needs solution

hello,

i had already acronis true image home 2009 and now i have acronis home 2010.

i tried to up grade om my xp machine from 2009 version to 2010

i was not lucky.

i deleted version 2009 and start the installation of 2010.
the upgrade program asked me for the license file for the new version and old version.

at the end i get the next message:

the installation was interrupted before Acronis true image home could be installed. you need to restart the installer to try again.

i did but is stops on the same place.

who can help me?

I completely understand your concern and will be glad to help you. Unfortunately due to the lack of informaiton it is hard to identify the exact cause, but before we start the investigation let's make sure we have everything correctly set up. Could you please do the following? 

  1. Check the services to be started. The following services should be started: Volume Shadow Copy, COM+ System Application, Distributed Transaction Coordinator (Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services).
  2. Empty Temp folder
    click Start->Run
    type in %temp%
  3. Try installing again

Should the issue persist, please obtain the following diagnostic data: 

  1. Acronis MSI log
  2. Windows System Information
  3. Acronis System Report

After that please contact support directly with the information attached.

hello,

sorry before i got an answer i did the next steps:

i removed the old installation.

i installed the home 2010 version which aborts at the end again.

i started the installation again and used the repair function.

the installation finished now correctly.

progran looks like working fine.
