Version chain backup problem

Thread needs solution

I am trying to resurrect a backup routine after my media (a NAS drive) failed. I am using ATIH 2011. My disk backups are fine, because I stopped them before any job failed. However, my daily file backups failed while the NAS drive was out of service. I now have the NAS up and running again and have restarted the file backups, but the jobs are completing with errors. I am using the standard daily version chain method.

It seems to me the backup is probably occurring OK, but the job is failing on the consolidation phase. My reasons for thinking that are that an appropriate sized file is created, but no earlier files (of which there are many and ancient versions because of the vagaries of the recovery on my NAS) are cleaned up. The log supports this theory, and is attached.

The error code it ends on is 0x0064008A+0x013C0005, but that is not recognised by the Acronis knowledge base.

I cannot check whether the file backup has worked, because when I try a test restore, ACIH cannot find the versions it needs, and my attempts to point it to the most recent version in the chain merely result in it asking for another version.

Can anyone suggest how I should proceed to get the backup job working again?

Many thanks
Chris
