Version count problematic if I remove backups outside of TIH

Thread needs solution

I made a few backups (one full and two incremental), and then I removed the backup files from the destination. I then made two more backups. In the Backup and recovery tab it tells me there are 5 versions, but in fact there are only 2.

Is there a way to reset this number?

You'll need to delete the task and make a new one.

Yes, I can do that, but...

Note I tried to delete some of these missing versions in "Explore and Recover". When I tried to do that, the program crashed suddenly. I would assume the program should never crash. But at any rate, this would be a great place for TIH to remove the missing reference.

lks,

ATI will not know that you deleted the files manually: there is no closed loop verification between ATI's database and the actual file location. If you want to delete TIB files, do it in ATI.

OK.

But I still think the program should not crash in "Explore and Recover" when I try to delete files that no longer exist.

Right.
