view details of a task... how?
How do you view the details of a task that's already run without editing the task? Say i want to check how often I set auto consolidation, or compression level, or whatever... the only way i know how to get to the details is to edit the task, and then you have to go through all the issues of selecting the archive, etc...
can't you just look at the details without changing anything or going through all that?

Whilst this probably isn't what you want, to find the task script depends on if you installed for all users or single user.
For Vista/W7 ALL USERS:
C:\Users\All Users\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts
FOR LOCAL USER
C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Acronis\TrueImageHome
For XP
Replace Users with Documents and Settings
With ABR10 (corporate versions) you can review a task without actually editing them.
thanks. i have to say this program is miserable. jump though hoops to look at the details of your task. every time i go into the task to edit it i have to re-type credentials for every share i backup from, consolidation just stops working altogether..
there are so many failure points it makes no sense to edit, much less look at existing tasks. so every time i need to tweek i have to start all over again, and god forbid i'm working with limited archive space... if i have to start a new 30 or 60 day cycle i have to find somewhere to store the previous backups until i get another good 30 or 60 days of backup!
and the manual is junk. i don't even know where to start with this garbage hunk of junk software.
trueimage home 2009.

My own view is that for anything more than wanting straight forward imaging to an external drive or an SZ, it is worth paying the extra $20 or so and get the standard Workstation version, especially if you are going to be using network based storage. I now wait for 9.1 and Echo users to harangue me due to ABR10's overindulged interface. :) Still far more flexible than the Home version.

upgrade? spend more money to find out that 100 new functionalities are poorly designed and failure-prone? when i buy a car and everything it does it does poorly, i don't spend more money on the same manufacturer. i already spent my money, and i'm feeling like a chump. i set aside all the info i found about how true image has become junk, figuring people don't like change, the bugs will be worked out, etc. but i search the net now and acronis help and i think i just wasted a lot of money.
