Virtual Machine shared drive access error W7 Ult TI2011
The shared drives of the virtual machine are shown as not available when browsing the list of drives to store an image on.
If they are selected, they are accepted as a destination in the 'Disk Backup' panel, but causes both Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer to crash if they are open at the time. IE8 keeps reloading the page it is currently pointed to, but all buttons including the exit button are inoperable. The debug message box of W7 just restarts itself all the time.
This only happens in the W7 Ult 64 bit VM, Vista Ult 32 bit and XP Pro 64 bit work OK and can use the shared drives.
If the drive is disconnected and then reconnected with the requirement of asking for credentials rather than auto log on, TI doesn't ask for credentials, just errors out when trying to create a file.
The log just reports:
Error occurred while creating file.
The system cannot find the path specified.
Attached snip shows drive Y which is an internal drive and drive K a USB attached drive.
VM is Oracle VirtualBox v3.2.8
There is a problem with this installation, whereby it tells me I only have 60 days of use left. I have raised a support ticket for that problem, though I doubt that problem and this one are connected.
