Virus in ATIH2011_5519_en-US.exe

Thread needs solution

I have recently buyed ATIH 2011 and I have some problems with the software.

I'm very happy if the new update solve those problems ... but my NOD 32 saids that this file is a virus " a variant of Win32/Kryptik.BXZ trojan".

Anybody with the same problem?

I have open a suppor ticket and 24h later no response ...

Very disappointed with Acronis.

Hi Julio, NOD has picked this up as a false positive most likely - it has done so in other software. Best be safe and try and scan with one or more other AV scanners - Malwarebytes free is an easy one to install and use as a second scanner. Where did you get the Acronis software from?

Agreed, most likely a false positive. If in doubt, submit the file to VirusTotal.com, it is an online service that scans the file using all the major AV engines with their latest definitions.

Thats a good suggestion Torsten, I'd never heard of that site. Ta

Thanks for your responses.

I download the file from the acronis site. And this is the first time I get a false positive with ATIH.

And for my open support ticket .... no response.

ok, well it is almost impossible that the executable on the site is infected. Unfortunately I can't comment about your support request but I will see what I can do.

Hello Julio,

Thanks for reporting about the problem. I think bin is right this is just a false positive as this is the first time we got this reported.

Anyway, I pinged Support Manager to get your case handled. You should receive a response today.

Please ping me directly via PM if that did not happen.

Thanks,

Andrey.

Hello.

I tried again today and have had no notice of virus in the download.

Great news!!
