Volume Error

Thread needs solution

OS-Windows 7 Ultimate; Acronis Home Edition 2010

I am running a backup and Validation on my "C" drive. It gets to the validation stage and after about 5 minutes into it, I get the following error:

(the title bar says "Warning")Specify Location in the Volume 3 --Click Browse to specify volume location, Retry to try again, or click Cancel.

When I click Browse: This error message comes up: Documents in this folder are not available. The folder may have been moved or deleted. When I clicked RETRY, I got the same error. When I click CANCEL, Acronis terminated. When I looked at the log, it says "Error date/time Operation has completed with errors."

During this operation, I do not touch my PC. I tried the Backup 3 times all resulting with the same error

I don't know what the resolution is to your specific problem but in order to get protected, boot from the user created Rescue CD and perform the backup and validation when booted from the TI Rescue CD.

Remember, Windows 7 has a boot partition and maybe more. If you need to replace your system drive or to a larger drive, you need to have a backup which includes the boot partition. The type backup which offers you the most restore options with the least hassle is for you to checkmark the disk type backup and this will include all partitions on the disk. To see all your disk partitions, open Windows Disk Management and look at the graphical view of your drive.
