Wanting to back up my C drive to a usb harddrive.
I was wondering if I could use ATI 2014 or 2015 to back up my entire C drive to a usb harddrive, the reason for wanting to do this is so if I get a virus or just need to wipe windows out I can re-install windows and all my installed 3rd party programs as well.

When I go to do a re-installation of Windows with the image I have cloned will I get the option to do a quick format on my C Drive so that way I can wipe it out so I'm not left with the windows old folder and any other unwanted crap.
Also if I have ore then one partition on my PC I assume it will give the option to install it to whatever partition I want.

You will have no choices at all. The backup image will restore exactly what was there on the HDD before you made the image of it - but in so doing it will reformat (by overwriting) your HDD.
