WD MYBOOKLIVE using supplied Acronis software

I am using the Acronis software version that came with the WD MYBOOKLIVE 1T hard drive. The software has limited functions. The WD HD is on my network.
Can I load down my Acronis's 2012 version over the one supplied by Western Digital? I have 2 computers on the network. If I can overwrite the software on one computer, I probably will have to keep the other computer using the WD supplied software.
If so, will I be able to select the drive that is on the network?
