What Files to Look For On Backup

I have just attempted my first backup. Here are the files I find on my external hard drive:
Local Disc C.tib
I noted that there were other backup options including "my system" and "my personal data." Are these included in what I have or do these have to be done separately? To put it another way, is this file a complete image of my hard drive and all I need to restore my computer, or do I need more?
This file was generated in a little more than an hour for a 160GB drive.

You did not mention what exactly did you back up. Assuming C: is the boot partition, backup of "C: patition" is ok , but in case of windows 7 you need also to include system reserved partition. Are there other partitions with data? "my personal data" must back up content of c:\documents and settings\$username, so it's already included in your case. The same is for "my system" - windows files, registry, etc - all is on the same C: partition.

I have Vista. I just did a backup of "my system" and now have a "my_system.tib" file in addition to the "local_disk_(c).tib." The new file is slightly larger than the first and so seems consistent with your comments.
