Which will restore faster?

I have two Acronis images of same partition.One is about 24GB with NONE compression level , another is about 11GB with MAX compression level.Which will restore faster?

Probably the one with lower compression may restore faster. It would certain have been created somewhat faster than the same backup with highest compression. But, on a fast system with USB 3.0 or similar fast interface, I'm not sure the time difference is large. I always make all my disk backups with highest compression to save on disk space.

A lot depends on what kind of media the backup image resides. As an example, if it is on a USB connected disk, the smaller file should restore faster, since the USB speed is likely the determining factor. For a SATA or eSATA connected disk, the larger file might restore faster, since the higher compression requires more CPU while it's doing the restore. There are several other things to consider as well, such as CPU speed... it's something you have to try, and determine which works the best for your environment.
